Website design By BotEap.comDo you find that just reading that definition and synonyms made you exhale deeply in an “ah” moment as your whole body relaxed? Surely that’s how I responded.

Website design By BotEap.comSo where do we find respite? Well, it often happens when we actually get away for a while… Or even when we’re forced by a pandemic to stay home for an extended period of time. You can also find respite by breaking old habits and adopting new, healthier ones.

Website design By BotEap.comBut the true and lasting breath… the real breath comes from turning away from God.

Website design By BotEap.comMatthew 11:28-30 says, “Are you tired? Exhausted? Come to me (God). Go out with me and you will get your life back. I will show you how to truly rest. Walk with me and work with me – watch me do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace…” – The Message

Website design By BotEap.comGod can help you wherever you are, that you need a break. He knows you intimately as your creator and cares about you. I love the phrase “learn the unforced rhythms of grace.” That’s how God is. He never imposes his grace on you. He simply offers it to you in a smooth, continuous pattern for you to take.

Website design By BotEap.com“Normal” life makes me need a break! Add this current pandemic and all that it means in our lives along with any other difficult or tragic situations and it’s easy to find yourself crying out for a real break.

Website design By BotEap.comIf you’ve never really thought about going to God for something, I challenge you to consider calling Him. Also, reading the book of John in the Bible will answer many potential questions you might have about God.

Website design By BotEap.comIf you have begun to think that God does not really care about you and your situation, I would challenge you to rethink this and pray that He will show Himself to you in a new and very real way in unforced rhythms of grace. . The psalms are a great way to learn more about the character of God.

Website design By BotEap.comIf you are very sure of God’s love and care for you, I would challenge you to take more “ah” moments focusing on who God is. Psalm 23 is a wonderful way to focus on the character of God.
