Today I am going to talk about the tracking ability of Pit Bulls, which they are especially adept at due to their athleticism, stamina, strength, intelligence, and determination. Compared to other dog breeds, these traits were originally bred specifically for the purpose of baiting and bull fighting. However, all of these special traits are equally essential when tracking.

Variable surface tracks have been introduced in the trials which are also very challenging for the dogs. Footprints can range in distance from a couple of hundred meters to 1 mile or a few kilometers.
