These dogs were originally bred as hunting dogs, their role was to drive out foxes during the hunt that had hidden underground in burrows and holes, as they are small enough to tunnel into fox dens and retrieve the animals or scare them away. the hunt could go on. But they are not aggressive dogs and would not attack foxes, instead barking loudly informing the hunted of their whereabouts.

His personality traits have been passed down through his genes to make a very protective and confident breed, he will take on any dog in a whit battle regardless of size.

Website design By BotEap.comI have three Jack Russells and have found that all three are very good with children and very protective of them, they are very active dogs and need a fair amount of exercise but they are also small enough to be lapdogs and love nothing better than hug them. even their owners, I find them very protective of the house and bark at the slightest sign of danger
