Jack Lalanne Juicer Review – The Power Juicer Classic

Website design By BotEap.comMost of us have most likely seen Jack LaLanne’s electric juicer infomercial, it’s been all over TV! Jack Lalanne is truly the American godfather of health and fitness. Jack preaches what he practices. At 95 years old, he looks fantastic, and even works out for two hours a day! An hour and a half of bodybuilding and half an hour in the pool. It really is the genuine article when it comes to healthy eating and exercise.

Website design By BotEap.comIn the infomercial, Jack Lalanne conveys how fruit and vegetable juicing is an essential aspect of his healthy eating and wellness practice. He explains that he has helped develop the electric juicer so that they can extract much more juice from fruits and vegetables. The Power Juicers site claims that Power Juicers extract “up to 30% more juice than other juicers.”

Website design By BotEap.comI have been using a Jack LaLanne Classic Juicer for over a year, this is my review…

Website design By BotEap.com1) This juicer is nice and solid when assembled and stays pretty stable during juicing.

Website design By BotEap.com2) The juicer runs incredibly quiet. Other juicer can be much noisier. So I agree with the statement on the website “the electric juicer works very quietly”.

Website design By BotEap.com3) The electric juicer has a large sprout. Many fruits and vegetables go through the chute whole or just cut in half.

Website design By BotEap.com4) The juicer includes a handy pulp collector that attaches to the rear. The pulp can be used in many different recipes. When I juice carrots, I add the pulp to soups or to stuff homemade turkey burgers. Tomato pulp is versatile, you can use it for soups, dressings and sauces.

Website design By BotEap.com1) Plastic will stain, especially with orange produce like oranges and carrots. Cleaning your electric juicer immediately after use will help minimize stains, though it won’t completely remove them. Individual pieces are available to purchase, however, if the stain gets too nasty for you.

Website design By BotEap.com2) For my specific model “the power juicer classic” the spout is static. This becomes annoying because the juice will continue to slowly drip onto the countertop once you remove the cup or glass. The good news is that the more expensive electric juicer models are designed with a spout that can be lifted manually, avoiding this dripping problem.

Website design By BotEap.com3) Some of the harder products need a little more push to go through than stated in the instructions. The instructions conclude that you only need to apply light pressure for everything, which is mostly true. However, tougher vegetables like carrots can get stuck at the bottom of the chute, requiring extra spin to get through.

Website design By BotEap.comConclusion: For the most part, I find the Power Juicer Classic to be a great juicer and am happy with its performance. I don’t think you will find a better juicer for the $100 it costs, you may even find it cheaper by shopping around. When I buy my next juicer, I will most likely go for a slightly more expensive model with the drip-free spout!
