Staying at Casino Royale in Las Vegas

Website design By BotEap.comI recently had several friends come to Vegas for a convention and even though I live in Vegas they wanted me to stay on the strip with them so we could hang out and gamble and drink and party like old times. They informed me they were staying at the Venetian so I went online to check the room rates and they were starting at $200 a night. Most people who know me say I’m cheap, I prefer frugal, always looking for the best value, so $200 a night was out of the question when I live fifteen minutes from the strip.

I found Casino Royale which is right in the middle of the Venetian and Harrah’s Casino, less than a five minute walk from the Venetian. More importantly, their room rates for the middle of the week were only $29 a night. I booked a room with a king size bed as fast as my fingers could type my credit card number!

I’m not even sure they have buttons, I just had a bag so I didn’t even look for one. After receiving my room key and going upstairs, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice my room was. The king sized bed was firm with big fluffy pillows, there was an in room safe, refrigerator and what looked like a 37″ flat screen TV. Apparently the rooms were recently remodeled and it showed. In the bathroom there were a bar of soap, a bottle of shampoo and conditioner, a hair dryer, plenty of towels and the maid service was excellent.

Website design By BotEap.comThe Casino Royale has several places to eat on site, starting with an Outback Steakhouse, which is great by the way. They also have Denny’s, Subway and Ben and Jerry’s. Noble Roman’s fast food pizza is also on site which is awful to be honest, everything else was great but avoid the pizzeria.

Website design By BotEap.comIf you like Margaritas or Michelob beer, you are in the right place. The bar in the middle of the casino offers $1.00 frozen lime or strawberry margaritas. They also offer Michelob and Michelob Lite beers for $1.00, and they sell a lot of both. If neither sound appealing to you, they also offer drinks from the well for just $1.50, making it the cheapest place to drink on the strip if you’re not gambling.

Website design By BotEap.comWord of advice, this is a small hotel and very close to the strip, so if you can request a room on the north side of the hotel, it will be quieter. Overall my stay at the hotel was very good, and great value for money and I would definitely recommend it to others and would have no problem staying there again.
